BILLY COULTER HEADLINES SIX POINTS FESTIVAL SHOW AT IOTA CLUB

Washington, DC-based musician Billy Coulter was selected out of 160 entrants to top the bill at Arlington, VA’s popular Iota Club and Café during the Six Points Music Festival on Sunday, April 10.

Just one year after his debut release Coulter was nominated for five Washington Area Music (WAMMIE) Awards in 2005. He was also a finalist in last month’s Texas Road Trip (South-by-Southwest) Singer-Songwriter contest.

Coulter currently is receiving radio airplay around the region and can be seen on TV in live performance telecasts on Washington-area stations.

Produced by Steve Thoma (Fleetwood Mac, Glenn Frey) and WAMMIE award winner Marco Delmar, Coulter’s self-titled CD was released in November 2003 on Confluence Records. His band includes veterans of the DC music scene, featuring drummer Doug Tull from Tommy Keene and Razz, and bassist Barry Warsaw from Cravin’ Dogs.

Whether performing with guitarist Tommy Derr as an acoustic act, or leading his four-piece band, Coulter can be found playing his brand of Triple-A Roots/Pop at music venues in the Washington-Baltimore area.
